Ementa

Apresentar e debater as principais teorias organizacionais dentro do contexto das organizações de pequeno porte, entre elas: Ecologia Organizacional, Ciência da complexidade e as organizações contemporâneas, Teoria Institucional, Diversidade de Identidades nas Organizações, Metáforas na Comunicação Organizacional, Teoria da Contingência Estrutural, Globalização, Aprendizagem Organizacional, Tecnologias e a Estrutura Organizacional, Mudança Organizacional, e Inovação nas Organizações. Para cada teoria apresentada discutem-se diversas pesquisas internacionais divulgadas juntos aos principais journals dedicados à gestão das pequenas empresas. Explora-se como essas teorias organizacionais, concebidas para a realidade das grandes empresas, se adequam e adaptam para descreverem e/ou explicarem o contexto das empresas de pequeno porte.
